Hawai’i Behavioral Health Connection

HiBHC provides comprehensive mental health and wellness services across the Hawaiian Islands and connects Hawai’i residents in need with licensed behavioral health providers. The organization supports individuals, families, and communities through programs that address mental health challenges, substance abuse, and developmental issues.

You do not need a referral or previous diagnosis to visit with a provider. To request mental health support, fill out their referral request form on their website.

Public School Contacts: You may be able to get support from a counselor, student services coordinator or principal at your child’s school.

HawaiiTelehealthU: This telehealth service provides telepsych visits for those who are coping with stress, anxiety, depression, self-harm concerns, or substance abuse issues. You do not need a referral or previous diagnosis to visit with a provider.

This is supported by the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM), and the Hawaii/Pacific Basin Area Health Education Center (AHEC).

Even if you do not qualify for Hawaii Quest, your nearest Family Guidance Center may be able to assist you with other services. Find your local Family Guidance Center here.
